Getting there:

OK, I won't bore you the way some travel guides do and just list the airports and bus stations. With the advent of the internet and affordable GPS units at your local warehouse store, you can certainly book a flight and rent a car and get to where you are going. My job is to help you decide what you want to do, see or visit.

However, I will reccommend that you do book a car rental in order to be able to drive along the coast and visit some of the places I talk about. And, I will tell you what airport is best to fly in to for the easiest travel in that area.

You should certainly fly Southwest Airlines if possible as they are consistently the cheapest due to the fact that they purchased all of their fuel several years in advance thus locking into much lower fuel prices which should keep their fares reasonable for while.

The Tampa Bay Region: from Tarpon Springs South to the Venice and Sarasota is a mere hour's drive in either direction from the Tampa International Airport.
